Developed by Reefer Air Flow Technologies of Johannesburg, South Africa, the RAFT Kit is a patented and proven system designed to change the air flow in refrigerated containers from mostly vertical to mostly horizontal. The inclusion of the patented baffles and floor liners increases the velocity and volume of chilled air flowing through the fresh produce, reducing cooling time and significantly narrowing the pulp temperature differentials throughout the container. The outturn quality of the produce is improved, shelf life is extended, and input energy to the container is reduced by up to 11%.
